then put up trapline birds till one shot

15 July
Barrow, Alaska
Wrote notes and put up trapline
still. Then went out with Stevens
to Beach Ridge. Took camera and
got few shots at Parasitic Jaeger, and
collected some feeding data.
Johnson's seminar tonight on
CRPDL project - finally found out what
some of these stakes are about. Then
finished Parasitic Jaeger begun
before seminar, and went out into field.
Went to Gas-line ridge without a gun-
usually the quietest spot on the tundra;
tonight..... place was wild with
activity. Caught 11 birds in traps;
flock of white-rumps, group of Semi-Pole,
and various assorted species making all
kinds of noise and commotion - mostly distraction.
Remains 'till 1:00 A.M. - then nursed sick
weasel back to Micro-met wannigan and
stayed there remainder of night.
16 July
Barrow, Alaska
Put in a little extra rack time, then
wrote notes and letters. Spent afternoon
in field around Gasline Ridge, and waded
on either side. Collected 2 white-rumps
