Virtually the entire area is under water,

In walking up P's Plot saw
copulating golden plovers around stake
14, on East side. Also saw frequent
large bumblebees today - have to
break our Hurd's net if the weather
holds.
Returned to the lab to find that
Paul De Benedicts had come in from
the Meds during the afternoon. They
had sent a plane for him yesterday
but he was in the field and didn't
bothered to come in when he heard it
land! Anyway - got to find out about that
operation. No big surprises as he
describes it. The birds are not as
dense as I had hoped, but there are
enough to work with. As we had
expected, habitat distribution is more
distinct than at Barrow. I'll reserve
further comment until I've been there.
After Dinner drove out to
Beach Ridge with Paul and Nikon
colb, windy weather. Not much activity
at all. Walked from road crossing
