Maclean 1964 Journal 16 mortality. 10 July Barrow, Alaska Spend Day collecting feeding observations. A.M. - beach ridge. P.M. - W. Beach Ridge and Gasline Ridge. One more white-rump rest brooding; F buff breast still sitting. Not too much activity. In the evening went out with Rick. Checked Pitelka's Plot - all quiet, no buff breasts - then continues on across Wohlslag Slough, and walks area beyond. Started back at 12:00 - and immediately through a track. Forced slough, and walked back. Made it at 1:45 A.M. 11 July Barrow, Alaska Spent day fishing from Beck. Put up Pectoral click, then to the fields for the afternoon. Cold and foggy. Last white- rump nest has hatched out. Took feeding data from micro-met to slope SE of Pow Main. In the evening put up chicks, then to the fields and area W. of Beach Ridge. 12 July Barrow, Alaska Sunday - The day of rest. Put up turnstone and skeletonized murrel.
