Not much to attract shorebirds. There is no denying that the season is late. Spent the whole darn afternoon picking through yesterday's 800 samples. Discouraging business - not a tipulio in the lot, and not enough to give a semi-pal a square meal. Collembolans, nematodes, 2 small spiders, 1 Chironomis larvae, 1 stephylina larva.
