29 June
Barrow, Alaska
Spent entire A.M. and afternoons
collecting feeding data. Found 2 beirzes
rests, golden plovers, and pintail nests,
woolen beach ridge and W. Mool Salt
Lagoon. Weather clear, sunny, brisk
wind from East.
After dinner leave Hanna seminar.
r. Alaskan Earthquake, then gave
summary of feeding observations to date
to Holmes and Ditleka. Put up
white-rump, wrote notes and so to bed.
30 June
Barrow, Alaska
Put up white-rump, then went out observing
shorebirds. Returned for lunch, then went
out with camera. Got some good shots of
golden plover. Returned - put up decapitated
& phalarope, and ate dinner. Next put up
one of days buff-breast slaughter - then
went and checked hatching semi-pal rest.
Quit.

Spoke to Barrower, then spent
morning touring bridges. Wrote six
letters to survey locations.
