commits me to leave.
After dinner walked up to duck
camp. Ran over to N. part of Holmes
Morass. Saw non-breeding red-backs.
Wow! 1 pr. golden plover w/ (unseen)
young.

Barrow, Alaska
Miserable weather all afternoon.
Slayer in cleaning up and B.S.'ing.
Her bird watch from New York
and had interesting discussion. After
dinner rose into Brownville in weasel,
then walked on in to devote evening
to frivolity, etc..
25 July
Barrow, Alaska
Never bothered going to bed -
walked into camp with Eugene Brown;
changed clothes and grabbed some
chow, out to Binick for weapons,
then back into town. Picked up
James and Frank Matumeak, and
finally were bound for the interior
about 8:00 A.M.. Warmest, clearest,
most brilliant day I have ever
seen at Barrow - magnificent!
