Moclean 1965 Journal but any restless - appear to be near departure. Flock of piedbalds, mostly 78 but significant number of 44, also restless. Found red back nest w/ 3 eggs, phalarope nest w/ 4, jaeger nest w/ 2. Continues on our toward Footprint Lake- weather getting worse. Raining too hard to do much good, so gave up and came in. Drove Ross' into town and showed them bluffs South of town as possible site to watch for alces. Rain persisted into evening, but undaunted, into Voth Area to check nests. No hatchlings, 1 4 egg semi-pal nest abandoned (parents possibly done in by either younger village hunters). 10 July Barrow, Alaska An afternoon of administrative duties left time for brief jaunt, not too productive at that, into 3. barrel area - NACS. Ball game in village - always on this one. Lost 10-8 in last inning. 11 July Barrow, Alaska Up early, for a Sunday and leaves inland towards Herodairk.
