MacLean 1965 Journal Flock of 25 plovers flying actively in erratic patterns in same area. Very close flock formation even on ground. Saw both parasitic and long- tailed jaegers over drum area. Walker through Central Marsh around South Meadow Lake. Numerous pecterals [illegible] in marsh - likewise social. One instance of territorial-type aggression in 707 - and this not fully developed. Checked owl nest - 3 young in nest plus 2 nearby running away. 7:40. ca. 125 m. away on mounds loafing continuously, & ca. 250m. away 3 quiet. Saw ca. 10 oldsqueaws (5, 2, 3) around periphery of South Meadow Lake. Looked for loons, but no luck. Returned via drum area. Went out to pull in traplines TID-B in evening. Apparently kids from town had been our playing games; 14 traps at one station, many others set off. No lemmings captures. Could not pass up beautiful evening, so walked up Voth Creek. Cutting tree, as many other places, is total! Saw many Phalaropes, regular (social) pecterals, occasional red neck. Flock of
