Holmes, resulting in [illegible] critical reevaluation of
method and approach. Came out with better
concept of what is possible and expected.
Spent rest of evening walking to see
more of tundra. From gasoline ridge, crosses
Voth creek as waterfall, across family creek
and up to Village Slough. Follows same inland,
Run back to Brownsville, inland to cemetery,
across ice on So. Salt Lagoon, and back
to camp at 1:30 A.M. Crossed extensive flat
and gently sloping marsh, Dummocky marsh,
and polygonized uplands. Found new feeding
habitat - west of Voth Creek; 4 spp. feeding
there simultaneously (R.B., Semi-Pal, Pectoral,
Bairds). T. around 25°. Little shorebird
activity. Dense Buff Breasts across Voth creek
from Coke-eater. Other buff breasts in
polygonized uplands began. Many 120-backs,
pectoral.

Spent most of morning writing field notes,
etc., then went out to see more tundra. Looked
at marshy area N. of gasoline ridge and
several different types of polygonized terrain.
Mostly just walked and looked. Mer Piletta

for tundra habitats.
