Maclean 1965 Journal are on eggs and/or are laying. Baird, semi-pal + white-rump display seen, but evidence of nesting also seen in all spp.. Hamilton and DeBenedictis have been concentrating on finding nests - 8 Calispines today, mostly semi-pal. The melt continues at a tremendous rate, and runoff streams are everywhere. Largely only protected slopes are left with snow cover. 28 June Barrow, Alaska Our in early afternoon to observe, photograph, and collect Hudsonian Gosour found in NACS marsh. Black- bellies + golden plovers and pectorals still here. Pectorals are possibly more dispersed, but not markedly changed. Observed several aggressive classes and displays among 6. Photographed Stellar's Eiders, then walked down Beach Ridge to see if birds have moved onto newly exposed grounds. They haven't. Returned to West Beach Ridge and watched baird's, then located 2-egg red-back nest. Walked back via Pectorals. In the evening went out to
