The water is pouring through "Dam Beck" at an impressive rate, but Here is a lot of water over there! Drove in around dinner time with CREDL boys (John Dennis and Art McKee). 27 June Barrow, Alaska Our after lunch to look at ANCS- Micro-ther area. Found flock of ca. 18 (±4) Pectorals acting happy and normal..... for about June 9? Group covers ca. 3 acres, feeding in flooses tundra. Sporadic aggressive behavior, ground displays, aerial displays, and courtship chases. It appears to be beginning to isolate selves and compete for PP. This season is going to be more interesting than I had thought a week ago. Flock of 6 golden plovers + 1 black- bellied plover in same area as pectorals. All other shorebirds were well spread out and paired. Poo-back display is falling off rapidly; methinks they
