McLean 1965 Journal Stellar's Eiars. Collects 5 redbacks, 2 white-rumps, 2 semi-pals, 1 pectoral after feeding observations. Again saw many, many lemmings. Jaegers appear georges! Two jaeger nests w/ 1 egg each found. Also found new owl nest w/ 7 eggs by N. edge of Footprint Lake. Observed one pond in Voth Area with beautiful + continues separation of feeding species: 3 red-backs in pond water ca. 1" deep; 1 pectoral at pond edge; 2 semi-pals ca. 2ft. back from pond edge in saturated ground. 20 June Barrow, Alaska Back to colo, miserable weather. After morning at field notes, took off with Pitelka. Stopped around micro-wet- very quiet. Pair beiro's in raised polygons, pair Golden Plovers, pair redbacks. Hongbucker Lagoon owl nest is hatching- two out + 1 broken open. Egg tooth very arisen on all three. Continues on to Gastine Ridge- worse. Ran traplines #1 + 2 for shorebirds. Found nothing. Saw a few redbacks chasing, no more.
