Maclean 1964 Journal 27 August Barrow, Alaska I feel a cold a beaurin' in the back of mine toes. Spent the day indoors trying to kick it. Cleaned up picabox- took stomachs and heads from old birds taken by R.T. Peet Thompson. 28 August Barrow, Alaska Nice try, but it didn't work. Got the g.D. cold anyway. Went out with Keith Van Clue to his lysis meters in central Marsh and on Beach Ridge. Group of 7 Brant in central marsh. 3 Dowitchers feeding in pond margin on Atketa's Plot. Returned and helped H.S. pack up and clean lab. Now all are gone; glad I don't have to watch anymore go! Cleaned up all labs in evening, and sorted out gear to go back to stockroom. 29 August Barrow, Alaska Went out to Gasline Ridge area with Dick Nelson - an anthropologist going down to spend the winter at Wainwright.
