Maclean 1964 Journal Puffins, then went back to top of Crowhill (stone ridge ending in bier cliffs) to look for fossils. Returned and ate. R4-D arrived as we ate. Parked up and took off. Stopped briefly in Kotzebue to pick up Charlotte Holmgren and Pete Sovalik, then flew on to Fairbanks. Ran into Gary Sturgis and Steve Hollands in Fairbanks Airport, so had a quick beer before they depart for home. Went into Fairbanks and sampled entertainment facilities, then spent the night in the Fairbanks Hotel. 24 August Barrow, Alaska Went out to University of Alaska and saw museum and biology department before leaving for Airport. Picked up Bobby Fisher, wife, and 5 kids, Cliff and Dorna Alderfer, and misc. passengers, then took off for Barrow. Arrived c. 6:30 P.M. Unloaded, ate, then spent evening cleaning up gear and going through mail. 25 August Barrow, Alaska I have seen a lemming high! Went out with Tenaza to Voth area to look for birds and capture live lemmings. In one hour got 14
