Macaw 1964 Jaroel The weasel back down the hill - about an 850 slope - and back. Spent the evening putting up day's till, and finally hit the rack at 3:00 A.M. Winds is still blowing - hasn't stopped since the night we arrived. Like to blow you off the top of the mountain. Makes bird chasing kinda rough. All the sea birds have to do is fold their wings over onto they blow into the ocean. Food here is tremendous - Clyde makes at least 4 pies every day for 10 of us (Clarence Dolan - Camp Manager ; Clyde Bates - cook, Aaron Roberts - Eskimo asset, Laughingwell Eirikgook - mechanic, 2 asking carpenters, 2 sails man from Ohio State working under NEC contract, and us-uns.) 18 August Cape Thompson, Alaska A little slow getting going again. Finally got caught up on notes. Put up another muroo, plus puffin for chilis, then tries to get a few more kittiwakes. Too damn windy! Refueled and peas till dinner. After repast, took weasel and Lancer back for bird cliffs. Weasel over. Laker badly on the hill, so left it and walked most of the way. Walked North a way
