Sample I. 3 ft 9in., below Clinton lace,
worn away.
Sample II. 10 ft. below Clinton base
contain more lime, at least fossils.
Sample III. 12 ft below Clinton base
Very fine grained, fairly soft massive
rock, weather back. At not 2 feet of it,
Below are 5 feet of material similar
to Sample II with plants fossils.
Next come about 5 ft of rock
similar to III, which again's
worn back under the more fossil
aftering rock above. The level
at the face of the Falls lies
15 feet lower down - a 32 ft below
Clinton = 39 ft 3 in. below Clinton top,
= 4ft below trans. arch top, = 48ft 6in.
