The rocks are essen- tially horizontal here. 631. Just below Belle Island, Latchia and Tetradium are common, with ophic chaula veins in same layers as to the latter indicating a vertical range of at least 25 feet of ophic chaula. The rock sizes gradu- ally down stream and sinks again slopely as far as that from it the river. But is essen- tially horizontal. The ridge fossils forms just must be about 20 feet thick. The concrete forms the vertical ridge part of the cliff.
