681. [illegible] 60 ft Congniile, 8 ft Near the Blue Mota with Bryozoa and Agamentas with few animal with high clods. 6½ ft similar rock but with con- siderable Argonite interbedded. 23 ft out crowd. Both strata a Type of ordinal rock with Lobechia + Petradium 21 ft Similar rock to above = blue rock, of which upper 7 ft: Lobechia rock. Cross bedded granular are called sandy rock not measured, The rocks h are seen rising as far as 681. The rock C an- times to rise down the river, but before reaching the point where the river turns north, the rock becomes practically horizontal. Bthm. Half a mile above Long Island the rock suddenly rises still more with Raphine grusae abundant bryozoa + with Argonite, bnt no Lobechia seen then very smooth with long Bottom island i reached.
