Fine exposure below Walnut ckl, Great vertical cliffs Brownport. Parker's Landing, Below Linding & redial limestone, Take left hand at blacksmith shop, gr 2 miles to spring on R Hand Side, near a school house among trees, cross creek, gr along a lane, fence m right, intersects main road and 200 yds up in school house. Turn to right, go on half a mile road forks, turn left here. About 3 miles to Bakersville. Big Sandy. On east side of Tennessee opposite mouth of Big Sandy is Standing Rock ckl. At forks of creek 5 mi, from Tennessee river is exposure. Fring there on both sides of both creeks are fossils. Black slate, 2ft black shale? 5 ft reddish gulfshat slates purlate 5ft black slate. 5ft coarse sandy. 3ft Conifers? ? 10 ft ? 43 ft top of cherty limestone to base of 2am at river edge. Camden chert! Clinton Burcham, about 4 mi NW of Baker ville, in road to Warady, cross gate and turn east along edge of hill to Henry McClure's house. Exposure of Conifers is at begin- ning of bluff beyond the house, on W face of bluff at end of bluff. The Camden chert along river face of bluff. The Conifers seems to occur only at western end= beginning of bluff, above Buffalo river level to 50 ft above at highest elevation. The Bluff is at the Wheel on the Buffalo river.
