1. Watson's Mill. about 3/4 mi. from
Savannah, about 6 mi. above
mouth of Horse Creek. = Paulk's Mill
On Savannah & Clifton road.
[white rock]
6 ft + clay layers with 2 nice
limestone above in the clay. Covered
by soil + top of this clayey section
not seen.
5 1/2 ft gray bluish quarry stone,
like Laurel of Indiana in appearance.
Contains:
Dalmunites verrucosus, pygidia
canum, headless canum,
Illacurus ixonus collected.
3 ft. clay blue above, red below
with Retzia, Rhynchonelladul-dicensis. collected.
15 in. red limestone, weathering
readily.
6 ft. red clayey rock weathering to
a clay. 6 ft. section ends at
stream level.

A quarter of a mile down the creek, at
a cave the following notes are seen:
3 1/2 ft. rock, pure white, like quarried
stone at Paulk's Mill.
1 ft. shaly stuff.
34 ft. red clayey, and hard limer
stone alternating.
