H., * Most of the specimens are distinctly annulated and have low indistinct longitudinal ridges crossing and to the curve of the trans- verse striae. About 13-19 longitudinal low ridges. The transverse strice are a little more distant than in recent Waldron forms. Several of the same type of shells have been found at Wavona in the Waldron shale however, and are Osgood specimens from Big Creek resembles ordinary Waldron types & having only low annulation and close strice. a very variable shell. One has longitudinal strice like Fig. 2-4. Both lean mouth of Platystoma as far as I can judge. Big Creek, Osgood. Jeff. Co. J. F. H., * a little broader & plenter than Waldron forms.
