(30) along W side pike 1/2 mile south of the gate No Mrs Mary & Clarke Clinton sharply defined from Madis- iam. Grani + irregular bedded, sal- mmon brown; 21 inches. Above this are 3-4 inches of reddish silicene rock, Out foot of basal Osgood are not clay. The basal Osgood clays are purplish, all exposed as at Agy Spring including basal sand. This is about mile N. of Mount Washington on Bardstown Pike (31) S.W side of Mt Washington, along Bardstown pike 1 mile S of Mrs Clarke. Osgood formation, 20ft Osgood clay, purple silice, indurated layers 44 in basal Osgood. 24 in transition arch. Farmites farinos red silicene loamery. 22-40 in Clinton salmon brown typical in grain + color to Alzites. No chert in this or the 2 upper layers. 3 miles to Southville. 44 inches of very typical salmon brown chert in are well exposed along the pike several hundred feet southward. The Madison is also well seen at 6-8 foot bands as at Madisiam (31 Chrt) 44 in, Clinton, salmon brown. 31 ft. typical Madison. 2 ft. Lagry larch with very few fossils 5 ft clay with few fossils, 4 in limestone layer fully fossils, 1.8 clay fully fossils. In Clinton Simpsonian flat valve with narrow hinge. Crithis flattables, Rough bedded, irregular sandy patches, Rhinop. or frondosa. This section closely resembles Cedar Spring Church section. Large Cyathiphyllum as at Day tan
