Brode 1934 July 9 cont. Micros levipes, three Microdipode pallidus, one Thomomys bottae (in the bank of the dry irrigation canal) two Perognathus longimembris param- mintinus, one Onychomys torridus longicaudus, two Reithro- donornys megaleotis. These were found in trap line extending from camp on river onto and a quarter mile east into the desert. I'm coming back to camp a skull of a coyote and a skull of a dog were found. In digging for gopher settings I found a large Scaphisopus hammondi about 4 inch below the surface in moist earth of the gopher mound. At noon I went out to the gopher trap found one gopher, and on return to camp picked up a Seeloporus mazista. In the morning I had set a trap near camp and it had a Peromysco maniculotis in it In the opening and got another gopher from site. I set 25 traps near camp. While setting traps I found a Bufo boreas on the bank of stream. Visited shore of Walker Lake in late afternoon.
