Brode 1934 Neotoma lepida July 5 12 mi., S Yerington, 4600 ft., W. Walker R., Lyon Co., Nev. obtained one specimen on the lower part of the rock and boulder hillside south of the Walbenriver and the railroad track. There were signs in abundance and one mouse trap had been sprung and dragged to a narrow crack between boulders. It may have been scraped off by the wood rat. In the evening when setting out more traps I located a nest under the edges of an enormous rock. July 6 I found another woodrat in a trap a little higher up the hillside but in a similar habitat to those found yesterday July 19 E. Walker R., 5050 ft., 2 mi. NW Morgans Ranch, Mineral Co. Nev. found two specimens. One from one in a mouse trap in a draw. An adult in a rat trap placed near a nest under large boulders. Four other traps were cleaned I part but unsprung.
