Ursus Head Hunters Cr., 1/2 mi. S W Hunters Lake, 8000', Washoe Co., Nevada Today Vernon & Laura E Mills & I hunted bear in this region. We drove to Hunters Lake & from there walked two or three miles SW to a large meadow. We found bear tracks in many places and especially on this one location where they had been bedding down and both fresh & old signs (beds, feces, etc.) were seen in a dense thicket. We then walked north from the meadow for about a mile & there in the mud near a pool of water was very large bear tracks that were made within the past several days. We did not see any bear but so many tracks kept our courage up. We walked back to the car & returned to Fallon
