J.R. Alcorn Tadarida mexicana 10 to 12 mi. SW Fallon, 4000 to 4/100 ft., Churchill Co., Nevada. June 15 1939 information. 4 ?'s all with embryos. 1 each. All embryos were well developed and after being pulled out full length and measured were 52 mm, 55 mm and 60 mm long. One embryo not measured. 2 dead. I noted that these bats occupied crevices just inside the cave instead of going back into the cave further away from the light. Fallon, 4000 ft., Churchill Co., Nevada. August 1939 walking down the street (Main) in Fallon I heard bats. I saw crevices just under the window sill so got a ladder & climbed 15 feet up where I could see into where about 10 or 20 Mexican free tail bats were found. Four window sill cracks contained from 10 to 15 bats. They were on the Southern exposure and looking into the crevice I could see the bats plainly. They could only get 8 to 10 inches into the away from the outer surface of the building.
