No. 305-306 JRA. In company
with Vernon Mills we arrived
at this cave about mid afternoon.
Vernon went into the cave and
out flew one bat (adult) and
hanging from her under surface
were two young bats. I shot
and killed the female (adult). I
picked her up and struck both the
young were hanging on to the
Teats. Their teeth were stuck
into her Teats so securely,
it was with difficulty that I
got them loose without pulling
the teat off. One of these young
was kept No 306 JRA along with
the female no. 305. I then went
into the cave where Vernon was
and with the aid of flashlights we
could see about fifty bats of
this species up in the a.
