Alcorn 1939. Corynorhinus rafinesque Bluestone mine, 3 1/2 mi. SW Herinton, Nev. Dec. 27, 1939. hours and would crawl about the cage. We did not find any more bats in this mine which was possibly due to the current of air which was coming through this niche. The bat was hanging downward & as it swung back & fourth slightly, it presented the appearance of a pear hanging on a tree swinging with the wind.
