J.R. Alcorn 1937 Lasiurus cinereus Hoary bat 4 mi. W Fallon, 4000 ft, Churchill Co., Nevada On ranch of J.R. Alcorn Oct. 24 (no 11a JRA) This hoary bat was noted just after sundown as it was flying amoung and around the large cotton- wood trees near my fathers house. I shot it and Mr. Stanley Jewett identified it for me. I had never seen any bats like this one before and have never seen any this large flying around here in the evenings.
