J.R. Alcorn Antilocapra 13 mi N and 6 mi W Deep Hole, 6000 ft, Washoe Co., Nevada. Aug. 30 valley (2mi.) we reached the west side where three Antelope were seen to run across the road. One was a buck, one a large female and one, one half grown lamb. There was a spring within 200 yds. where we first saw these animals with Artemesia (black sage), and Bitterbrush to main vegetation growing in this immediate section. No trees are within several miles from here. Wild horses and many Cattle are in this section. Three mustangs, three gentle horses and over 50 "white face" cattle were seen by us around this small valley, in this mornings, walks and last night activities. Coyotes were heard howling much of last night and several "poor well" birds were heard calling.
