Alcorn 1939 Myotis 12 mi. E & 1/2 mi S Fallon, 3950 ft., Churchill Co., Nev. Dec. 24 A stick was put in its mouth + it took hold of the stick and "hung on" which enabled me to pull it from the crevice; at the same time I kept a finger on the animal to prevent it from flying away. The crevice was not over five inches deep nor more than three inches wide at the mouth of the opening. This short crevice was an a 45° angle + the bat was on the bottom of the crevice as illustrated Crevice Bat we continued on southward and examined about 4 or 5 more caves + found nothing. In one cave where in summer months I have often seen Corynorhinus no bats were seen. The temperature in this cave was 70° fahrenheit and between 40°+60° " outside of the cave.
