Alcorn 1939 Myotis /2 mi. E+ /mi 5 Fallon, 5950 ft., Churchill Co., Nev. Dec. 24 and it appeared to be breathing rapidly. I counted 63 of these "paintings" in 15 seconds. I placed one finger on the back of the animal & it made a series of short squeals. It was 55° fahrenheit in the cave to " " outside the cave in the shade. No other bats were seen so Mr. Mills started to crawl out through the small opening when he saw a bat fly past him & out of the cave. When we all reached the outside, examination revealed the bat that flew out had alighted on an old bird's nest marked @ Mr. Mills captured this bat. Both of these bats were active but the first showed more fight than No 2. & I placed my finger on bat No 1 and its mouth was opened and it tried to cute me.
