Peromyscus truei
3-mi. SW Leabontan Dam, 4/100ft., Churchill Co., Nev.
March 28
1 ♀ + 1 ♂ big eared mouse was found
in this location. Along the waters
edge where much wood & small
sticks had drifted from the Lehotan
reservoir waters the wood rats
had built large nest or houses by
pile stacking these sticks up to
heights of 2 to 3 feet and from 2 to
5 ft across. Expecting to find a wood
rat I tore this pile of sticks down
and out ran two Peromyscus truei
and 2 Peromyscus maniculatus.
