entrance so small that we
were forced to crawl
on our hands and knees in
order to enter it. Once inside
one can stand up with
ease. A cross section of
this cave is sketched as
follows. Side view
I entered first and thought
I could hear bats squeeling
so I summoned for Mr. Mills
& my father to "crawl" in.
We examined the larger
portion of the cave but
found nothing. At the
place marked + I found
a small bat (Myotis subulatus?)
It was tucked into a small
crevice at a point where the
cave was about 4 feet high.
Its eyes were open, its
dark ears erect, and mouth shut,
