Killcorn Reithrodontomys 4 mi W Fallon, 4000 ft., Churchill Co., Nev. Mar. 20 1936 No 10 ♂, no 11 ♀. These two mice were captured after large tumbleweeds had been uprooted. During the past winter on a two acre patch of ground where the tumble weeds were large these mice occupied & built nests under the thistle. As the thistle was short our air-dale dog captured and ate over 50 (count) within 30 minutes. The mice were thick & running every- where. We killed & burned many. Mar. 23 1936 No 27 ♀ J.R.D. was caught on my ranch.
