Alcorn 1938 Dipodomys ordii columbianus March 30 1938 8 mi. W Fallon, 4000 ft, Churchill Co, Nevada. 19 kangaroo rats were picked up today after the distribution of strychnine coated rolled oats and four were Dipodomys ordii & the others were Dipodomys merriami. Both of these species inhabit the same general locality and often one may find dead ones only a foot or two apart. On several occasions I have caught two rats in mouse traps set two feet apart and on examination one was merriami and one ordii. The four Dipodomys ordii were as follows: Total Tail H.
