Myotis 12 mi. E + 1 mi. S Fallon, 3950 ft., Churchill Co., Nevada. December 24, 1939 Today, Mr. Vernon Mills & Mr. W. H. Alcorn accompanied me on a trip along the foothills S + E of Fallon, Nevada. The object of the trip was to inspect all the caves that could be found & determine if possible whether any bats were in these caves. The first cave to be found as we traveled south along the hills directly east of Stillwater was the largest. This cave was over 150 ft in depth. With flashlights my father & I examined the cave for bats while Mr. Mills tracked a Lynx cat for several miles in the snow over the rough rocky hills. We found no bats in this large cave so we continued south for about a mile where we came to a cave with an
