Alcorn 1940 Dipodomys merriami merriami 1 mi. NW Soda Lake, 4000 ft., Churchill Co., Nev. Feb. 23 Many rats were caught on an abandoned alfalfa field that was sandy and covered with many Russian thistle weeds. Examinations of them is as follows: f - normal uterus horns. f - " f - slightly enlarged uterus horns M - one male. Total of 4. It was noted that, about the traps, many tail marks indicated rats approached the traps but did not touch the bait of "chewed" rolled oats. 6 mi. W Fallow, 5000', Churchill Co., Nevada.
