Where kangaroo rats of 'all
kinds' usually inhabit these
areas no tracks are to
be seen in the two or three
inches of snow.
Dec. 27, 1939.
Although only 2 inches of
snow on the level no
tracks of kangaroo rats
are to be seen.
Dec. 28, 1939.
Snow partially melted,
only about 1 or 1 1/2 inch
on the level but I have
not seen any rat tracks.
Dec. 29, 1939.
The snow is melted in
scattered spots and a
few kangaroo rat tracks
are to be seen in these
areas.
No further observations, but
from above notes kangaroo rats 'hole
up' for several days after snow
storm.
