Kangaroo rats that were dead on the surface of the ground. Considerable Russian thistle was growing among the sagebrush in the area. Mostly all of the animals had their pouches filled with poisoned rolled oats that was distributed for ground squirrels. One male whose pouches were full of strychnine coated rolled oats was picked up and the kernels counted. A total of 31 kernels of rolled oats were counted from the two pouches of this male.
On examination of the uterus horns the tubes were of some females were greatly enlarged and flabby also reddish in color. This indicated that the young female had recently given birth to young and the tubes or uterus had not had sufficient time to contract to their normal size. All measurements were taken in inches and the animals were weighed on letter scales. Information collected
