Alcoro 1938 Dipodomys merriami merriami and they must have eaten them for food. Will this this much poison kill a coyote? On several occasions I noted where the coyotes or rather one coyote had picked up three kangaroo rats for food. The rats when poisoned sometimes many times leave their tracks & tail marks very plainly on the sand and one is clearly able to see where they have died and where the coyotes have come along & taken them. I took a pointer dog and gave (by force) it 50 kernels of this same poison rolled oats and in 15 minutes the animal was apparently not affected. In 20 minutes the animal acted as though it was drunk. In 29 minutes the animal was dead. This dogs stomach was empty to begin with and therefore the poison should have been more effective than if it was full or part full. If 50 kernels
