Alcorn 1937 1938 Dipodomys merriami merriami. 8 mi. S. W. Fallon, 4000 ft., Churchill Co., Nevada. May 11 1937. One of these sand rats picked up on the desert after the distribution of strychnine coated rolled oats had 4 embryos ½ developed. Measurements in inches as follows 9¾ -5⅝-1⅞ -4/16 crown. These Kangaroo rats are very numerous on the desert and especially around the borders of cultivated fields. April 12. 1937. ♀ 3 embryos ½ developed. Measurements in inches as follows 9-5⅝-1⅞ -4/16 crown. 8 mi. W Fallon, 4000 ft., Churchill Co., Nevada. March 30, 1938 In the sagebrush near cultivated fields a few sand rats were picked up after poisoning + information as follows. Total - Tail - H. Foot - Ear (crown) - Sex - Embryos.
