Pocket gophers were caught on a 100 acre tract on the Swingle Bench. Caught in traps in Alfalfa fields. 10 females and 14 males were caught in this sandy soil. I looked for embryos and if none were found I so stated. I also looked for milk in the teats and if I found any I so stated. Embryos are noted as left or right ovary. Or in other words the gophers right or left side.
