Above gophers were caught scattered over a 40 acre field. It is interesting to note the difference between these last two lists. 35% of the above females were pregnant while on the first list where the males were scarce 100% of the females were free from embryo. Yet the gophers were more con- centrated than on the first list. These two fields were about 1/2 miles apart.
