Alcorn 1936 and 1937. Thomomys bottae canus Aug. 19, 1936 one of the juveniles was as follows 111-29-18. This is the first time I have secured evidence that indicated these animals produced young this late in the season. March 7 1937. I caught the following gophers today within 10 miles of Fallon, Nevada. ♀ - 5 embryos 2/3 developed. ♀ - 6 embryo 1/3 developed. ♀ - Udder developed. Being suckled. ♀ - Uterus horns normal - no young. ♂ - Taken in burrow with a female. March 31 1937. I caught the following gophers today within 10 miles of Fallon, Nevada. ♀ - 6 embryo 1/2 developed. ♀ - Uterus horns enlarged. ♂ - Caught in burrow with a female. ♀ - Uterus horns enlarged to 5 m.m. diameter ♀ - 7 embryo 3/4 developed. ♀ - 6 embryo 1/4 developed. ♀ - Enlarged, enflamed uterus horns.
