5 mi. W Fallon, 4000 ft., Churchill County, Nevada
noted in the tubes that run from the vaginal tract
to the ovary. I refer to these tubes as ovary tubes etc.
at times.
All of these squirrels were poisoned with rolled oats
(strychnine) in sagebrush in sandy hills in the Soda
Lake District close to alfalfa field. 14 females 9 males were
found, a total of 23.

After placing poison over a small area I picked
up all the Pinto Ground Squirrels and found only
five. All were females. One had 10 zorary beds, one
had slight bulges too small to count, one had 11
zorary beds, one had slight bulges too small to count,
one had 9 zorary beds.

I picked up all the Ground Squirrels I could
find and found the following information:
♀ 9 Zorary ⅜ inch in diameter. Bright tube 3 squirrels left tube.
♀ Enlarged tubes.
♀ 12 zorary beds ⅜ inch in diameter: 7 right tube; 5 left tube.
♀ 10 zorary beds ⅜ inch in diameter. 5 right tube; 5 left tube.
♀ Enlarged tubes.
♀ Slightly enlarged tubes.
♂ Male
♀ Enlarged tubes.
♀ 11 Zorary beds ⅜ inch diameter; 6 right, 5 left.
♂ Male.
♀ 11 Embryos ⅜ inch diameter 7 right 2 left.
