several ground squirrels that fell near me. A crow
then came to the fight and took several feathers
out of the Vulture. The Vulture did not attempt
to fight back, but tried to get away.
The Piute Squirrels are being killed by the
ranchers in this district during irrigation. These
squirrels are left flying out in the alfalfa fields. The
Turkey Vultures are eating these squirrels and are
having considerable trouble as they eat too many and
the blackbirds and kingbirds attack the Vulture
in the air and Mr. Buzzard vomits to enlighten his
load and fly better.
