J.R. Alcorn Citellus beecheyi March 23, 1938. 1 mi. SW Pyramid Lake, 3950 ft., Washoe Co., Nevada. no 157a ♀ This female was caught at the entrance of a burrow in a ½ size steel trap. A few of these squirrels inhabit this area but they are very wild. July 10, 1938 200 yds. E Zephyr Cove, Lake Tahoe, 6300 ft., Douglas Co., Nev. 170a J.K.L. This animal was shot as it was sitting on a rock. These animals are numerous here. July 10 1938 1 mi. N Virginia City, 6400 ft., Storey Co., Nevada. no 171a ♂ Jouveille was shot as it ran from a small stream toward a large rock. Several other young & one adult were seen along this stream. July 10. 1938. ½ mi. E Zephyr Cove, 6500 ft., Douglas Co., Nevada. no 172a ♀ was shot from a large boulder as it was watching me from this rock.
