This animal was shot as it was sitting on a rock. These animals are numerous here. July 10 1938 1 mi. N Virginia City, 6400 ft., Storey Co., Nevada. no 171a ♂ Jouveille was shot as it ran from a small stream toward a large rock. Several other young & one adult were seen along this stream. July 10. 1938. ½ mi. E Zephyr Cove, 6500 ft., Douglas Co., Nevada. no 172a ♀ was shot from a large boulder as it was watching me from this rock.
