Citellus beldingi 1/4 mi. E Zephyr Cone, 6300 ft., Douglas Co., Nevada. Aug, 30, 1936. No 91a was poisoned with grain in a small meadow. Many of these animals have burrows all over the meadow in this location. Kingston Canyon, 7500 ft., Lander Co., Nevada. May 13 1939. No 284 ? JH. was shot as it sat up alongside its burrow. I shot & the squirrel ran into the burrow. I dug for 10 feet and there in the burrow was the squirrel dead. All of the burrow dug out was about six inches deep.
