Nov. 3. This morning Dr. Seth Bensen and I went down to the Berkeley Yacht Harbor with Please who had been informed that a Sea Lion had been seen in the harbor; and it was reported the animal was injured.
We could see where the animal had been resting on the loading platform and a small amount of blood was there, but we did not see the animal. Dr. Bensen + I got into a boat with Mr. Al Graves at the control and Mr. '' took us out into the Harbor where we found the animal after a considerable amount of time.
This Sea Lion could swim very good. We could not get within 25 yards of the animal without it submerging so Dr. Jensen took several shots which injured the animals in the nasal region. At any time the animal would come up for air it would make a sort of blowing
